The following question came from Gil Scott

How do I balance a Monarch D with a 80 MAH battery?

The Monarch D is a Great kit. I'll have to try harder next time for lightness inthe tail as I needed 250 mAh pack for balance.
Thanks, we try to do our best! It's quite possible to balance a Monarch 'D' with a pair of S-80 servos and an 80 mah battery, but you do need to keep it light, especially in the tail. Make sure your radio gear is all in the nose. We usually put the battery at the very front, then the servos (one mounted on top of the other in the case of the S-80 sized servos), then the receiver with the case off. One very effective weight saving method in the tail is to use one of the pushrods as an antenna for the receiver. Just measure the length of the longest pushrod from the brass coupler up front to the aft end at the tail. Cut that much off of your receiver antenna, then solder the tip of what remains to the brass coupler. This saves a lot of weight in the tail, plus a lot more in the nose.

Good luck with your new Monarch, and please keep in touch!

Also, have a fun and safe holiday!
