The following question came from Ted Nelson

Do camber adjustments and or crow work well with an aileron equiped HLG?

I've ordered a 2nd wing with ailerons for my Monarch. Do camber adjustments and or crow work well with an aileron equiped Monarch?

From : Joe Hahn

Ted, the Monarch is strictly our 2 servo polyhedral ship. If you have an aileron equipped wing on order, it would be our "Wizard" wing. (Let me know if we need to confirm this with you). The Wizard wing fits on the Monarch fuse and is totally interchangeable.

We set the Wizard up with "flaperon" control. The moving control surface portions of the wing are one piece. There is no separate flap/aileron controls. The 2 functions(aileron and flap) are "mixed" by the transmitter, typically.

Camber adjustments work GREAT on the Wizard. Increasing the wing camber allows for very good slow speed performance(not too far from the Monarch), while use of zero or slightly negative deflection allow for some rather amazing high speed capabilities. The overall speed of the Wizard is shifted higher than the Monarch series, allowing for wonderful performance in windy, gusty conditions. The flaperons can be deflected downward considerably for increase in drag for slower, steeper, controlled decents. With large amounts of reflex(sometimes called "spoileron" function) the decent is very fast and flat. Since there are no separate flap and aileron control surfaces, "crow" mixing is not an option.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
