The following question came from Jim

I am using a E flite 10 outrunner, 35mm dia, motor for my E Chrysalis.

Using the front mount the wires exit the side, front, of the housing. With the triangular pieces in the nose there is no room for the exiting wires. I could construct a rear fire wall, but I would not be able to remove the motor once the front end is boxed in. When you used the MP jet 28/20 did you increase the size of the front motor box? I am considering using a brushless inrunner. Any help is appreciated.

The same issues come up with the MP Jet 28/20-7 that I have in mine. You need to orient the motor so the wires come out in the bottom right corner of the fuselage. The down thrust and right thrust creates a surprising amount of extra room in that corner.

The mounting holes in the firewall are located properly for this wire orientation on the MP Jet and perhaps some others. However, depending on the mounting hole orientation in your particular brand of motor, you may (at worst) have to make a new firewall.

You will need to make the motor wires bend fairly tightly where they exit the side of the motor, but since they will only be subjected to the bending operation once, it is not a problem (if you kept bending and straightening and re-bending, it would be).

I mounted the MPJet motor this way in mine with no problems, However, if you absolutely have to have a bit more room, you can hollow out the inside surface of the triangle stock in that corner. Avoid opening it up so much that it breaks through to the outside.
