The following question came from Richard

I am wondering if you can tell me the approximate inside dimension of the Chrysalis glider, both hl and 2m, specifically where the receiver would go. I remember the fuselage being fairly wide when I saw your gliders last.

I'm wondering because I'd like to get a easy build up glider and use the new Spektrum radio, which comes with a wide receiver 39x39x9mm.

From : Don Stackhouse

At the location shown in the nose for the Rx on the plans, the 2-meter fuselage is 1.75" wide x 1.5" high (45mm wide x 38mm high), but the space under the wing is about 2" (about 51 mm) wide. The widths of the HLG fuselage are about the same, but the height is only about one inch (25mm). Either way, there's enough room for that receiver, plus your lunch box and maybe a small Jacuzzi.

The tricky part will be that funny V-shaped antenna for the Spektrum receiver. Most folks seem to prefer to mount that on the wing underside, with a short cable and one-pin connector to the receiver in the fuselage.
