What servos do you recommend for Electric Chrysalis, and how many are needed?
I prefer Futaba...
I am having a discussion in the Wattflyer forums about servos to use for this plane and none of us can find info on your web site. I’ll post your input for the crew…

The servos are called out on the plans and instructions.
We show Hitec HS-81's for the tail surfaces, and call for at least 15 in-oz minimum torque. I'm not sure what the current Futaba equivalent is but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. The HS-81's are actually a bit of an overkill in the torque department, but they are cheap, common, and very durable. That latter part is important because tail-mounted control surfaces can receive a lot of abuse, both from landing mishaps and from transportation, storage and handling.
For the spoilers you don't need much torque, but you do need something that fits within the thickness of the wing. The little 6 gram servos are probably enough, the 9 gram servos still fit, have more torque and generally are a bit cheaper. We show Hitec HS-50's on the plans, but HS-55's will work, as well as GWS Picos or Naros or equivalent. It appears that something like a Futaba S3103, S3107 or S3111 should work (although I haven't personally tested them), basically anything thinner than about .43 inches.
