The following question came from ahearns

With the V tail do you need a computer radio?

I'm intersted in trying handlaunch and figure I'll start with the chrysalis.

With the V tail do you need a computer radio? Can the airplane handle an on board mixer? Or would it be better to go with a conventional tail?

We have some information on this question on our website, Dan. Check it out when you get a chance. The V tail will come out a little lighter, which is a significant point since a little change back there makes a big change up front! The catch here is that if you put an electronic mixer in the plane, you lose any weight savings the V tail can offer. A conventional tail probably makes the most sense at that point.

Speaking of which, is the v tail worth all the investment in a computer radio?

Investing in a computer radio is something I strongly recommend, V tail or not. You'll never regret the purchase--they are a fantastic tool. If you plan on staying in the hobby for a while, go for it. You'll soon be totally spoiled and wonder, like I did, why you didn't do it sooner!!!

Thanks for your interest in the Chrysalis, and please let us know if you have any other questions.
