The following question came from J.P. Morere

Are the new Hitec HS-50 servos adequate for the Monarch?

They are rated at 8 in/oz. To me this seems reasonable for normal flight, but maybe not enough for good control during launch.

HS-50's are fine for ruddervators, even on launch. Joe Hahn and a number of other folks have used them very successfully for that. From what we've seen so far, they seem to be an excellent servo for all sorts of HLG applications. We haven't tried them yet for very large surfaces (such as the Wizard's flaperons), that might be pushing things a bit. Still might be worth a try if you're feeling daring, but I won't make any guarantees until I've done it myself!
