DJ Aerotech       Makers of the Finest, High Performance Electrics & Sailplanes!

The following question came from Paul Clark

What is the status of your Mosquito Class HLG?

Paul,

Still in development. "We will sell no [sailplane] before its time!"

I finally succeeded in designing baseline airfoils for both of our mosquito projects (the low tech one was particularly difficult) and I'm now in the process of optimizing the planforms and final airfoil tailoring.

What are you going to call them DJ?)!? The guys are really excited out here at this unbelievable MOSQUITO OUTBREAK!
As you already know, the high tech one will be called the "Harvester", after the small carnivorous butterfly. The low tech one we're planning to call the "Nymph", after that immature stage of insects that don't go through a metamorphic pupal stage. We thought that would make a nice tie-in to the "Chrysalis" theme. BTW, "Nymph" was suggested by Antonio Martinez, one of the guys on RCSE and a good customer of ours.

Quite honestly I'm not really all that concerned about being first. I'm much more concerned with being BEST. And if my computer is even close to correct (and it generally has been in the past), things are looking very promising.
