The following question came from Stephen Cheung

Why do you prefer a launching peg instead of finger hole?

Does one provide better launches?

Stephen,

Both Joe and I seem to do better with the pegs. It's also a little easier to build, just cut two holes in the fuselage sides, slip it through and glue it in place. Make sure you get a nice epoxy joint all around the peg at both ends, and that you reinforce it as shown with glass tape.

One other hint, if you don't plan to use a towhook, install the peg ABOVE the lower carbon longeron. This will be a bit stronger, and also helps reduce the tendency to pull downward on the pegs as you release.
