I am building my first model in quite sometime, it is a Sig
Riser. I wanted as much building experience as I could get so I chose to
include the optional spoilers.
I have followed the plans as shown for everything. The control wires come out of the underside of the wing over the
fuselage. I don't have a clue how to locate a bellcrank to attach to the servo.

The last time I got a good look at Riser instructions was about 20+ years
ago ( I was helping a guy get started in R/C with it), and I don't recall
exactly how that feature was depicted in the plans. However, it sounds like
a reasonably conventional spring-closed, pull-cable-opened spoiler system
typical of standard practices of that era.
My advice is to scrap that linkage altogether. Modern servos are small,
cheap and light enough that it's much easier now to just mount a small
servo (something like a Hitec HS-50 or HS-60) at each spoiler with a short
pushrod, couple them to a "Y" connector at the center section of the wing,
and then plug that into the receiver. Far simpler, more reliable, easier to
rig and maintain. The weight difference on a model this size is insignificant.
If (when) we get around to a major upgrade on our 2-meter Chrysalis, this
is how I'll operate the spoilers on it, instead of the present single servo
driving two linkages, and that's also a mod that I recommend to folks
building the present version. Even as little as a few years ago, when
HS-60's were still considered exotic, it made sense to use linkages, but
today it's sooooo much easier to just use two separate servos.
