It possible to use a 7 cell 300 mAh NiMh Flat Pack for batteries in a Mitsubishi Zero A6M5?

That's probably going to be too heavy. We have tested the A6M5 successfully with a 7-cell 170 mah pack (the same one we use with the twin motor RK Series models), but that's probably near the upper limit. It also depends on your flying area. If you're going to be indoors in a basketball court, I'd recommend staying as light as possible (use a good quality 110 mah 7-cell pack like the ones we sell) and also going with the A6M2 long-wing Zero. As you reduce weight and/or increase the span, the minimum flying speed gets slower and the turning radius gets smaller.
If you're flying outdoors, the extra power from a 170 mah pack will help deal with wind and turbulence, and the small increase in turning radius won't be a significant problem. The shorter, stubbier wingtips of the A6M5 also make it slightly more durable than the A6M2, an advantage in the rough-and-tumble world of outdoor flying. You'll need to carry a little more throttle with the bigger, heavier battery, and the motor's brush life will theoretically be a little less (although we haven't seen a significant difference in our tests).
