Are you pretty sure of identity of motor?
From : Don Stackhouse
Yup, I am (of course I'd better be!). It's the same type of N-20 as used in the
Watt-age B-2. That's what we used in our initial development work, and we went
to a great deal of trouble to make absolutely certain we got the same version when
we started buying them in large quantities for production. There are many different
variations of this motor floating around out there, with a variety of electrical characteristics,
and some of them don't work very well for our purposes.
Do you know where gearbox, prop, etc. is obtainable?
We sell it as a separate unit, called the MPS-1 (Miniature Power System 1).
We retail it for $15.95 plus shipping, which includes the motor, capacitor,
gearbox and prop. You can buy it direct from us or from one of our dealers.
