Blenderm" or 3-M 600 - huh? Any chance of using a tape that is readily available - or am I missing something here??!

Those are readily available. Blenderm is one of 3-M's first aid tapes, and
you can usually find it in a good drugstore. It's thin, light, flexible and
stretchy, grips extremely well, and is my personal favorite. I noticed that
recently 3-M changed the packaging, so that i't now in a small white
plastic dispenser with red, green and white labelling, with "Nexcare
Waterproof Hypoallergenic Tape" on the label, and (less prominently)
"Blenderm #1 Hospital Brand" in smaller letters at the top of the stick-on
label on the plastic dispenser. The tape is a clear translucent color, with
a frosty surface texture, but NO fabric-like texture (the stuff with a
fabric-like texture is a different type of first-aid tape).
3-M 600 is ordinary vinyl-type Scotch tape and is available in most places
that sell office supplies. Not quite as good as Blenderm in my opinion, but
close.
