The following question came from Soaring Junkie vera01@Earthlink.net" vera01@Earthlink.net )

Do you know what the lightest recorded weight has been for a Monarch D-lite & Wizard D-lite and what gear was used?

From : Don Stackhouse

We don't really get a lot of data on this, just an occasional note from a builder, but the ones we build for ourselves come out typically in the mid 9 ounces range. Some of Joe's Monarch 'D-lites' have been under 9.2 ounces or so with a Hitec 555, two HS-50s and a 3-cell battery, and it may be possible to get below 9.0 ounces. The Wizard 'Lite' typically comes out at similar weights, I believe the one Joe flies now is around 9.5 ounces with a Berg-6 Rx, four HS-50 servos and a 4-cell 110 mah battery. With very careful work and some extreme measures it should be possible to come out significantly below that.
