From: Ray Kostuk Date: Mon, 31 Mar 1997 11:59:07 -0700 Subject: [RCSE] Chrysalis I had a chance to fly my Chrysalis a bit over the weekend, after carefully adjusting the wing washout according to the instructions. I was really impressed with its launch height and handling- even though mine weighs 11.5 oz. It rolls over at the top very quickly with almost no loss in altitude. With monokote covering on the wing there is'nt any flutter even when launching as hard as I could. Penetration is excellent - it seemed that I could always bring it back after long downwind excursions. It thermals very well and gives very noticeable responses to any lift in the area. I'm going to tweak the washout and balance - hopefully reduce some weight- to optimize mine a bit more for minimum turning radius. Don and Joe have a real winner here! If I covered mine with ultracote lite and put fewer coats of clear spray lacquer it would have come in a lot lighter. I'm really glad there's another good built up HLG on the market!
