Joe, Finished the Spectre Friday evening and flew the first flights Saturday morning. The first hand launch was picture perfect, catching a little bubble and returning to my hand. A little adjusting was necessary to achieve a good winch tow, but the results were extremely good. Sunday was the first contest - an all 2 meter affair. Of course the plane was not completely set up yet, but even then managed an 8 minute flight in the first round. In the end I finished first by getting the most flight time in a 30 minute add'em up. I built the model exactly as instructed with the materials provided. For the most part it went together as described although one must get in tune with the "DJ" design philosophy. One difficult area was the size of the servo wire tube between the flap servo and the wing root. I had a difficult time getting both the flap and aileron wires through the tube. One other area that may or may not be a design feature is a small bit of reflex built into the trailing edge of the wing. The bottom of the wing is flat, but the top actually reflexes a bit. Design?? Bottom line. It is a great flying plane with a great launch, good range, good thermal capability and a sloooow landing speed. Happy Camper Don Richmond
