Yet again I am gripped by the desire to remind folks the value of the
RCSE.

You just saw one of the best sailplane designers in the USA arguing with
the number one sailplane pilot in the world. 

These two gentlemen approach this hobby in different manners. One
empirically, one analytically. Each has had success FAR beyond any of
us common folk and yet we were given an audience to their discourse.
